Reinforcing stainless steel wire mesh is designed to be used with the Poly Welder Pro and Poly Welder Pro Welding Strips and can be used on any type of thermoplastic repair. We recommend that this mesh be used when a repair is longer than 4", or if you have a hole larger than 3/16" or if it goes to the edge of a radius (corner). It's made from stainless steel, so it's five times stronger than regular aluminum wire screen. You can also use the mesh to fabricate plastic parts, fill holes, and provide reinforcement in any thermoplastic (meltable plastic). Each sheet measures 5" by 10".
To use the mesh, simply melt the area to be repaired using the Poly Welder Pro and then embed the mesh into the area surrounding the repair and then weld additional Poly Welder Pro Welding Strips on top of the mesh to seal it. You can sand the repair and then melt it smooth it using the Poly Welder Pro for a beautiful looking finish.
This sheet has 2 folds along the long side for shipping purposes. It is easily flattened using the shaft of the Poly Welder Pro as a roller.
