Product Description:

Sometimes difficult to find (especially by the foot) at a local plumbing supply store. We provide this pipe at approximately our cost as a convenience.

The general rule is to divert about 10 gallons of the first rainfall for every 1,000 square feet of roof area footprint. Each foot of pipe stores 6 gallons of first flush water. A 3-foot section diverts the appropriate amount for about 1,800 square feet of roof.

Provided in 3 and 4-foot lengths. Due to the high shipping costs with this large item, there is a mandatory $19.95 discounted shipping fee for both the 3-foot and 4-foot sections, minimum. In order to avoid the very expensive, additional shipping costs known as "dimensional weight", the maximum length we can ship, a 4-foot section, will measure approximately 47" long, rather than 48" long.

Diversion Recommendations for the Roof

Minimal Pollution: divert 0.0125 gallons per square foot of roof area
Open field, no trees, no bird droppings, clean environment

Substantial Pollution: divert 0.05 gallons per square foot of roof area
Leaves and debris, bird droppings, various animal matter, e.g. dead insects, lizards, etc.

Example for a minimal polluted roof of 1,000 square feet:
1000 square feet X 0.0125 = 12.5 gallons to be diverted

Example for a heavily polluted roof of 1,000 square feet:
1000 square feet X 0.05 = 50 gallons to be diverted
