Product Description:

The GWDD system collects water from your laundry, shower and bath. The greywater is filtered through a state of the art progressive filtration system, and then automatically diverted to your irrigation system.

The Aqua2Use is fully automated and does not require any human intervention to operate.

You'll be amazed how clear your greywater looks after filtration by the Aqua2Use and how much water you can save!

Features of the GWDD System:

The newest model of the Aqua2Use comes with great new features:

  • Fully automated system
  • Compact design (Length 24”, Width 15”, Height 20”)
  • System can be installed either above ground, half-submerged in ground, or under ground
  • Easy to connect 2" inlet and 2" overflow
  • Built in overflow safety system
  • State of the art Progressive 4 Stage Filtration
  • Built in dry run pump protection, preventing clogging and damage to the pump
  • Submersible pump with integrated Electronic Pump Controller
  • Pump will only run when tank is full or when activated by timer - a very efficient system
  • Pump and filters can handle water at elevated temperatures
  • Diverter valve included
  • Easy to clean - just hose the filters every six months
  • CSA Certified Pump
  • UV resistant
  • Water Mark approved
  • Approved for gravity installations - can be used with or without the pump
  • 12 month replacement warranty

How it Works:

  • Step 1: When the Diverting valve's arrow is pointing away from the filter, greywater flows direct to the sewer.
  • Step 2: When the Diverting valve's arrow is pointing toward the filter, greywater from the house is diverted to the inlet of the filter.
  • Step 3: The greywater flows through the 1st progressive filtration chamber (ch.1) that retains major and medium particles such as hair, lint, paper, detergent clogs and other impurities. (The filter pads: Black-low density, Green-medium density)
  • Step 4: The greywater flows through the 2nd progressive filtration chamber (ch.2) that retains medium and small particles (The filter pads: Green medium density, Blue-high density)
  • Step 5: The greywater flows through the 3rd progressive filtration chamber (ch.3) that retains small and minor particles (The filter pads: Blue-high density, Grey-Super high density)
  • Step 6: The filtered greywater is pumped to the irrigation

Aqua2Use Progressive Filter Media

  • Low density: Black
  • Medium density: Green
  • High density: Blue
  • Super high density: Grey

Innovative Greywater Pump Operation:

There is no single float switch to turn the pump on and off.

The system uses two magnetic micro floats to activate the control box that senses the water level. This allows for the full capacity of the tank to be used and allows for a full flow of water to be distributed, thus filling your drip irrigation tube and reaching the end of your drip tube line. It also means that the pump isn't cycling (switching on and off) unnecessarily and that the full surface area of the filters are exposed to the incoming greywater.

The control box also switches the pump on independently of the magnetic floats. This makes sure the residual in the tank is kept to a minimum.

There are no external timers in the system. Other units rely on external timers to make sure any residual is pumped out within 24 hours. The Aqua2Use control box automatically turns on the pump to see if there is any residual water.

FAQs:

What is Greywater?

  • Greywater is the water that comes from your baths, showers, washing machines and bathroom sinks.
  • Recycling household greywater for irrigation is an excellent way of saving water and saving money! Greywater is generated every time you shower or wash your clothes.

How can I use greywater?

  • Greywater is suitable for irrigating most garden areas including flower beds, shade trees and lawns. Even native gardens can thrive with greywater, simply alter your laundry detergent to one that is low or has no phosphorus.

Will a system work at my house?

  • Certainly!
  • The simplest way to get greywater to the garden is by diverting the water directly from the laundry and/or showers. The greywater system will filter the water and divert it to your garden.
  • Your greywater system just needs to be connected inline with your washing machine or your shower, and then to your irrigation system. Your garden can stay green all the time. Even during water restrictions!

Is it safe?

Millions of greywater systems have been installed around the world. Greywater is safe for you and your garden when you follow these simple rules:

  • Don't allow children or pets to drink greywater
  • Use subsurface distribution systems such as drip irrigation beneath a layer of mulch. Do not spray greywater into the air or use in your vegetable garden
  • If holding tanks are used, don't store unused greywater for longer than 24 hours and remember to keep tank filters free of lint. Holding tanks must be cleaned out on a regular basis to remove sludge build-up

Is greywater legal?

  • More and more states are introducing greywater friendly legislation and you should always check with your local enforcing agency before installing a greywater system as certain restrictions may apply.
